PLDO Attorney Samantha M. Vasques to Present Employment Law Workshops on "Dealing With Problem Employees: A Legal Response Guide"

Vasques will lead two employment law workshops during a day-long National Business Institute (NBI) seminar on "Dealing With Problem Employees: A Legal Response Guide" on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Hilton Garden Inn Providence Airport/Warwick, 1 Thurber Street in Warwick. Attorney Vasques will address the topic "When the Problem Employee is a Member of a Protected Class" from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., which will be immediately followed by a workshop on a wide range of HR topics to better navigate and manage employee issues regarding privacy rights, social media, suspected drug and alcohol abuse and other areas of concern for employers. Attorney Vasques is a member of the Corporate & Business Law and Litigation teams and concentrates her practice on providing legal support, advocacy and counsel representing clients including performing pre-trial investigation and discovery, and motions and pleadings preparation through trial, settlement and the appeal process. She is the co-author of A New Hope: Tortious Interference with an Expected Inheritance in Rhode Island and Married, But Not Certified: An Overview of the Rhode Island MBE/WBE Certification Process.

Attorney Vasques earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a member of the Board of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Journal Editorial Board.
