Community Commitment

Giving back to the communities in which we live and work is a core value at Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC and a cornerstone of the firm’s culture. We believe it is important to support nonprofit and charitable organizations through volunteer work and financial support that enriches our community and helps others to achieve their dreams and goals, whatever they may be. Many of our attorneys and staff volunteer their time and resources by participating on nonprofit boards and committees and the firm donates to organizations through corporate giving and sponsorship programs. We are proud of the firm’s community leadership and applaud our employees for their commitment to encourage positive change in our community and the world.

Sponsorships and Recognitions

PLDO and many of our attorneys have been recognized by community organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Ocean State Aids Care, the Tomorrow Fund, the Providence Center, Oasis International, the Women’s Resource Center and many other nonprofit groups. Among the honors the firm has received include the Nickerson Community Center’s recognition during its “Honor Our Veterans” event, Corporation of the Year Award for 2017 by the Rhode Island Black Business Association, and United Way of Rhode Island as a “Partner in Philanthropy” awardee. We congratulate our attorneys and staff for their volunteer service and the many awards they have received for giving back to our community.

Pro Bono Service

Pro BonoPLDO is an active member of the Roger Williams University School of Law Pro Bono Collaborative, which connects law firms and law students with community groups to help them fulfill their mission. Many of our attorneys volunteer their time and legal knowledge to other organizations such as Rhode Island Legal Services and are frequent guest speakers at community events that help others succeed in life and business.
