Attorney Angelyne E. Cooper Joins Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara’s ADR and Special Masterships Team as Senior Counsel

Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC (PLDO ) Managing Principal Gary R. Pannone announced today that Angelyne E. Cooper has joined the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Special Masterships Teams as Senior Counsel. Attorney Cooper is a Commissioner for the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights and former Legal Counsel and State Level Equal Opportunity Officer for the Rhode Island Department of Labor & Training.

Attorney Cooper’s prior experience includes providing advice and counsel on a wide range of legal issues as an attorney for Rhode Island Legal Services and the City of Providence. She also served as Roger Williams University School of Law’s Moot Court Advisor and was a Law Clerk for the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson in the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

She earned her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, cum laude, and served as President of the Black Law Students Association and a member of the Multi-Cultural Law Students Association. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Utica College of Syracuse University, where she served as Chief Justice of the Student Senate and President of the Criminal Justice Student Association.

Attorney Cooper is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association, the Rhode Island Thurgood Marshall Law Society, the Rhode Island Hispanic Bar Association, and on the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Urban Debate League, where she has held several leadership positions.
