PLDO Partner Benjamin L. Rackliffe to Lead Workshops on “Marijuana Business Law in Rhode Island”

Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC (PLDO) Partner Benjamin L. Rackliffe, a prominent business and corporate attorney, will be a featured speaker for two workshops during a National Business Institute (NBI) seminar on “Marijuana Law in Rhode Island” on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 801 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick.

Attorney Rackliffe’s workshop on “Marijuana Businesses Law in Rhode Island” is scheduled from 10:55 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., and will cover topics such as negotiating third-party agreements, preparing for state regulatory agency inspections, allowable business types and employment rules and restrictions for cannabis businesses. In the afternoon, Attorney Rackliffe will lead a discussion on “Obtaining a Rhode Island Cannabis Business License” from 12:45 p.m. to 1:35 p.m., where he will provide information on application procedures and how to avoid mistakes, license renewals and transfers, and appealing license denials. Attorney Rackliffe concentrates his practice in the areas of closely held business and tax-exempt organizations and is considered a leading authority in the areas of corporate and regulatory compliance.
