Clare is the chief strategist and creator of award-winning products and multi-platform programs including Joy Publications Inc., It’s Your Business, NBCU TOO!, NewSource newspaper, The Perfect Set and Rhode Island, USA: Freedom to Succeed. She has a 2007 U.S. Department of Commerce copyright for the marketing of products and services through video presentation, called The V-MAC Way: Rich Media Realized, and her work was nominated for a National Television Academy/New England Chapter Emmy for a WJAR-TV promotional campaign. She is a recipient of a GE Ovation Award for an employee communications plan at WJAR, and received the Northeastern Economic Developers Association, President’s Award, Best in Class for a strategic marketing communications plan for the State of Rhode Island. Clare has more than 20 years of leadership experience building brand awareness, generating new revenue streams and guiding the strategic marketing communications for public agencies, nonprofit groups and publicly-held and private businesses. As a national marketing and business development consultant, she designs and directs multi-million dollar projects and has represented clients across industries. She is an expert in crisis communications and issues management and has been the lead “on the record” spokesperson with the international and national press since 1988 for private companies, individuals and state and federal agencies.
Clare is the PLDO marketing consultant. She has been responsible for the creative vision, business growth and P&L for four start-up companies in the marketing communications, publishing, new business development and newspaper fields, and since 2006, has been the President and CEO of Flynn Consulting Group LLC, a marketing communications and business development management firm. Clare has undergraduate degrees in philosophy and psychology and earned her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island. She is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and a licensed real estate agent.
