From Rhode Island to San Diego, PLDO Partner Brian J. Lamoureux is considered a ‘Thought Leader’ on Emerging Legal Issues of Social Media Use in the Workplace

On February 22, PLDO Partner Brian J. Lamoureux was flying across the country to Qualcomm’s corporate headquarters in San Diego as an invited guest speaker for The Conference Board’s Council on Corporate Communications Strategy II roundtable discussion. His presentation on emerging issues in social media use in the workplace was presented before Fortune 100+ marketing, media and technology executives from around the U.S. Five days later, Rhode Island business leaders and marketing executives paid close attention to his thoughts and insight on the same topic as he was a featured speaker at the Providence Business News’ (PBN) Summit on e-Marketing & Technology at the Providence Marriott.

Perhaps one of the ‘hottest’ topics discussed from the water-cooler to court rooms is the use and consequential legal pitfalls of social media in brand marketing and in human resource management. Attorney Lamoureux’s persistence in research and compiling case law on the topic has proven to be of great value to business leaders and HR executives who are seeking to stay abreast of new information to protect their organizations from legal action. Over the next several months, Mr. Lamoureux’s calendar is packed with online seminars and in-person presentations to national and state audiences.

On May 4 at 4:30 p.m., the public is invited to listen to a radio interview with Attorney Lamoureux on AM790 Talk & Business, either on-air in Rhode Island & southeastern Massachusetts at 790-AM or online at To learn more about the topic of ‘social media in the workplace’ and to view a video featuring Mr. Lamoureux or read his essays, please visit or log onto the firm’s YouTube Channel at
